ATTEND THE OFFICIAL LONDON
NEW YEAR’S EVE PARTY 2025
The official New Year’s Eve celebration in London centres around a spectacular fireworks display along the River Thames, with the London Eye serving as the focal point. This event is organized by the Mayor of London and typically attracts over 100,000 attendees. To manage crowd sizes and ensure safety, the event is ticketed, and tickets often sell out quickly.
Where do I get tickets for New Year’s Eve in London and how much does it cost?
If you’re planning to attend the official fireworks display, it’s essential to secure tickets in advance and plan your evening accordingly, as central London becomes extremely busy during the festivities.
Tickets are at a price between 20 and 50 Pounds. The ticket price depends on if the person buying the tickets lives in a London postcode. Those living in a London postcode will get a discount of £15 on each ticket booked. And of course, what viewing area you choose.
There are six different ticketed viewing areas – Blue, Red, Pink, Green and White, plus an Orange accessible viewing area. All viewing areas have a specific numbered gate you should use on the night to enter the viewing area you have booked.
Blue viewing area tickets cover the stretch of Victoria Embankment from Westminster Bridge to Golden Jubilee Footbridge.
Red viewing area tickets cover the stretch of Victoria Embankment from Golden Jubilee Footbridge to Temple Avenue.
Pink viewing area tickets provide access to Waterloo Bridge only.
Tickets are available through the official ticket seller, Ticketmaster – for more information please visit also the Mayor of London Site.
In addition to the fireworks, various parties and events are held across the city, including river cruises, themed parties, and gatherings at iconic venues. For instance, Trafalgar Square has been a traditional gathering spot for New Year’s Eve revellers, although recently, the focus has shifted more towards the South Bank and the fireworks display.
